The Only One I Love is MOSCHINO

Belated much? Oh well.
The best way to spend V-Day/Independence Day/Singles Awareness Day? Frolicking around Mochino's Meatpacking boutique at their event sponsored by ELLE Magazine, fab! The love themed Soiree attracted guests like Kelly Choi of Top Chef Masters, Artist Caitlin Moe, love guru E. Jean Carroll, and many more. While booze and hors d'oeuvres were less than plentiful during the event, it didn't stop the AEFFE staff from enjoying what Belvedere had to offer after hours :-). The evening ended appropriately stumbling home from the Standard Hotel after paying homage to their Biergarden- I wouldn't have it any other way.

NYFW A/W 2011: The Riviera Club

Last Friday I attended the Riviera Club's Fashion Week Presentation at the Bowery Hotel- it was amazing! Not normally a fan of Menswear, the Riviera Club is deffffinitelyyyy on their A-game with their A/W 2011 collection. I was fortunate enough to scoot my way up to the designers and ask a little bit about their inspiration for the line and according to them, the Riviera Club is all about being "refined but relaxed, well-dressed but detailed, and always wearable." Now all I need is a beautiful boyfriend to dress up in all of RC's de-vinee designs. LATER!

SEX IN THE AIR

Follow my blog with bloglovin

I am fully aware that leather is the last thing on everybody's mind, especially due to the chiffon, lace, and teeny tiny hemlines not so subtly spilling off the NEW RELEASE racks paraded at the front of every major department store in this city. However, I definitelyyy believe that this is the best time to fully take advantage of the S&M trend that was ever so popular last season. Why? Fabulous (and not faux) is now offered for only a fraction of full retail value- scoop it ASAP.

Love Interest: Tilly Bloom

Alllllll about this bitch right now. Famous for her references of sight, blindness and eyes that continuously pop up within her work, Tilly Bloom has taken the title as Winner for my favorite illustration artist. I want, scratch that, NEED every. single. piece. within her jewelry & accessories collection. Oh and her prints? Almost all of them are done entirely in monochrome and are so incredibly hip it hurts. I love how she takes all of these obscure inspirations and meshes them together to create a single unit- things that could never conventionally work together, yet somehow they fit. You can easily spot the influences of Surrealism and The Absurd that she integrates within the Victorian Era, total Sci-fi twilight zone bullshit, folklore creatures, and those little porcelain dolls that alwayssss seem to be watching you. Valentine's day is coming up, buy me "cat in a hat" earrings. Seriously.
